A couple bolts tore through the frame, and a couple more broke
in half, leaving the frame intact but half a bolt stuck in the threaded
holes of the steering box. After picking and prying the broken bolts
from their holes and finding replacements, the box was bolted
back onto the frame as well as could be achieved with only half the bolts.
We then discovered that part of the rag joint was missing too. Luckily Paul
happened to have a replacement, and the missing piece was scavenged.
One rachet strap for good measure and Brian's big Chev was as fixed as
it was gonna get. Now he had to steer those 37" boggers up the narrow,
twisty hill that 4 of our group had to be winched up, and he had
to do it with a steering box that was rachet strapped to the frame.
