After hiking up the moraine to snowline, the first order of business is the Snowpatch-Bugaboo col, so named because it is the dividing point between Snowpatch Spire on the left and Bugaboo Spire on the right.    The headwall is about 230m (750 ft) high.    The bergshrund which must be crossed (the crack in the snow) can be seen spanning across the entire snowface.    Pigeon Spire is the pyramid-shaped spire in the background.
