Looking up the Gibraltar Ledges route from the Muir snowfield. Gibraltar Rock is prominent at the right, with the Cowlitz Cleaver leading up to it, and the Nisqually icefall in the background. Camp Muir is off the frame to the right. The route follows the Cowlitz Cleaver up to the base of Gibraltar Rock, then skirts left between the icefall and the base of the rock at about 3550m (11,650 ft).
