Here are Moonlight (the top of which can be seen on the left) and Snowline (going straight up the center) up close. Both are quite "thin", which doesn't mean that they are narrow from side to side, it means the ice isn't very thick (perhaps not thick enough to allow the use of ice screws). In such cases, other techniques are used to protect against a fall.
