Mountaineering InterestsFor me, mountaineering in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia isn't about "bagging the peak". It's about solitude. Even as a member of a team, you can't help but feel a sense of solitude when you stand on a mountain with a 360o panoramic view of glaciers and peaks, and there isn't a single sign of human civilization as far as the eye can see in any direction. I spend as much time as possible in the mountains... day hikes, summer backpacking, winter backpacking, and mountaineering.
