Beauty from the Inside Out:

Wouldn't we love to go around with our spirit being our foremost image. The world today seems to put our physical being in competition with our emotional, intellectual, and spiritual parts. When you wear the joy and feel the perfection that you are, it will feel perfectly wonderful being you.

Live in an environment that is calm, quiet, slow, sophisticated, and elegant. Simple pleasures can uplift your spirits. Add flowers, candles, and scents to your surroundings.

Regular exercise and meditation will diffuse the effects of stress which ages the body and face.

Diet Notes:

Scientists have confirmed that a diet containing chili, peppers, and ginger will provide a 45 percent increase in one's metabolic rate over a bland diet.

  • Eat to live, don't live to eat
  • Stop eating when you are three quarters full
  • Chew well, your stomach has no teeth
  • Eat only what you can eliminate after 24 hours
  • Once a week give your digestive system a rest
  • If you can't digest it and eliminate it, don't eat it
  • The way you breathe can give you energy that you thought could only come from food
  • Sit on your heels for 5-7 minutes after eating and you will hardly ever get sick

Conquer Fatigue with Hydrotherapy:

Taking a cold shower rebuilds your body, moving your circulatory system, changing your blood chemistry from unhealthy to healthy. In the Western hemisphere taking a cold shower is known as hydrotherapy, in the Eastern hemisphere it is called Ishnaan. Prepare your body by massaging a small amount of almond oil or sesame oil all over. Turn on the cold water and go into the water one body part at a time, first the feet and face, then legs and arms, front and back. Men take care to protect the groin area and women protect your thighs where calcium magnesium balance is regulated.

Hair Care:

Massage your scalp with oil mixed with your favorite scent, apply yogurt and wrap your hair in a towel for an hour or two. Massage shampoo into the scalp prior to adding water to help remove the oil. It is important to massage your scalp to get rid of residue lurking in the scalp that inhibits hair growth.

Skin Exfoliant:

Mix cornmeal, powered milk, and a little salt in a small jar. To use, place a small amount of the mixture in the palm of your hand, add a little water and massage mixture on your face.

To treat chapped lips, mix baking soda with water to make a paste, massage over your lips and wipe them clean with a damp washcloth.

To treat a blemish breakout, rub half a potato all over your face. Leave the raw potato juice on for twenty to thirty minutes. Rinse with cold water.
